2010 Nerf Guns - Which Ones Are Coming Out?

It's already a new year, and 2010 is set to be a good one as Hasbro has claimed they are going to release the best blaster yet. In fact, this blaster is supposed to be so good, it beats the vulcan, the longshot, and everything else Nerf has ever released.

Well, according to them... we'll just have to see for ourselves come that time.

This new "un-named" blaster is set to be released towards the end of 2010. And to celebrate its release, Nerf is going to release 5 special edition blasters - all of which will be clear.

These transparent Nerf guns include one of the 2 new blasters released in early 2010 (so as you are reading this, they should already be on shelves getting sold). This ultra new clear blaster is the N-Strike Deploy - a Nerf gun that doubles as a flashlight and toy gun.

The other clear ones include the Maverick, Recon, Raider, and Nite Finder. For those of you that may recall, the Clear Maverick has seen shelf space once before, so if you ever missed the chance to get one, then here it is.

Aside from the "mystery" gun and the 5 clear ones that are set for release later this year, 2 new ones for 2010 have already hit shelves.

These blasters are the Deploy, and Longstrike.

Not to be confused with the Longshot, the Longstrike is somewhat of a bigger brother. It beats the Longshot in length by a couple inches, making it the longest blaster to date.

Want to see more on these new blasters like the Nerf Longstrike? Then visit the greatest Nerf guns website to get the skivvy on all 2010 Nerf guns. You'll be glad you did.

Monkey's Chinese Zodiac Forecast 2010 - Chinese Horoscopes For Monkeys at Year 2010

Below is the list of peoples who born within the year of monkey:

1908, 1920, 1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004

These are the breakdown of categories according to the forecast for Chinese Zodiac for monkeys at 2010.

Personality

Just like what a monkey is, the Monkey is always playful, lively, fun and also a quick thinker. They learn things easily but they also get bored easily. It's never easy to ask them settle down for something or doing only one thing for the longest time. As a quick thinker and fast learner, they are always ambitious and investing money is not a problem for them. They make a very good party guest as well with their good sense of humor. But sometimes, they can be unproductive and get careless.

Career

Everything for Monkey is about earning money and working very hard for that. Their job tasks involves around coordination, discussion, visiting and interview. There is a possibility that they need to travel very often to have a meet up with their clients, running around for errands or always on business trips. From these, you will earn a lot and because there is a lot of travelling to be done, be sure to manage your time properly to avoid double work. There is an opportunity for job hop, a good one but be aware of the circumstances before resigning from the current job. Just be careful along the year.

Health

There is high possibility that you need to spend a lot of time during the day for job purposes. Thus, take a break when you have to. Also, pay extra attention on your safety while travelling and at work because you might get exhausted or come across accidents or injuries. If you pay more attention to your health and safety, things will be fine. Just keep in mind to avoid any water related activities like water sports. If you are a pregnant lady Monkey, take a look out on the health of your expecting baby.

Modern Trends In Home Decor For 2010-2011

There are several trends that are passing through this year, however there are a few that are worth mentioning, such as the Techno Chic trend, the Cityscape trend and the Natural style trend. These are all trends that go well with home decorations for this and for next year without going out of style.

The Techno Chic trend is all about fresh starts, new beginnings and good mood. Keeping it simple and light is easy here. The techno elements give the furniture and home accessories a high-tech ambient that offers an easy touch technology for the geek in us.

The Cityscape trend is a modern home decoration style that makes your home fresh, alive and full of color and sophistication. The most common colors here are gray, silver, strong and deep blues, purple and navy blue.

As for the Natural trend style, this is all about nurturing our mother nature. The furniture pieces are inspired by nature and wood is very popular here. You will find folkloric elements that many embroideries have. Wall decor in natural styles depicting wild animals, forests and oceans are quite 'in' right now. The natural colors used here are dark yellow, brown, tarnished gold and anything that reminds one of deep and grounding earth. Back to nature is the aspiration of all city people who only see nature on various television channels.

While these are the most cherished home decoration trends of this year, there have been some tendencies of homeowners using higher and better quality furniture and home accessories. Also kitchens are more modern these days with ultra sleek stainless steel cabinets. Back is vinyl flooring, however not the old style that our parents and grandparents had. These are very modern, complex and elegant flooring materials that definitely deserve a second look.

The Mannington vinyl flooring is such flooring used in modern homes this year. Visit vinyl wood flooring to learn more.

Goa New Year Celebrations

Goa is the place for Christmas and New Year's Eve revelry. This premier beach destination of India is simply rocking during the last week of the year and is a popular location for locals and tourists to spend their New Year's Eve. What is it that makes Goa so popular during this time of the year? Tropical beaches, spectacular churches, water sports, rave parties, bars and pubs and the delicious Goan cuisine. There's your answer.

A joyous occasion like New Year deserves to be celebrated with all the merriment possible. And where else in India can this happen, at Goa of course. Goa is an erstwhile Portuguese colony along the shores of the Arabian Sea. This small coastal state is divided in two districts or talukas, named North Goa and South Goa. It is famous for its beaches and churches primarily. Most of the relevant churches are located in Old Goa.

The laidback Goa comes alive during the last week of the year. Bustling with foreign and local tourists, there's not a dejected soul to be found. Many hotels and resorts also come up with exciting New Year packages. They range from ultimately luxurious to downright pocket friendly. While enjoying Goa New Year celebrations one can also indulge in activities such as water sports, beach bumming, sightseeing, dancing, pubbing, and lots more.

Goa New Year celebrations are a gala affair for kids too. They can enjoy swimming, snorkeling, building sand castles, and other such fun filled activities. What's more, even the elderly folks can explore the grand churches and temples of Goa. They can also enjoy Ayurvedic massages for those nagging aches and pains.

Goa also whips special treats during New Year and Christmas. The seafood of Goa is very ever popular. One can also sample the scrumptious baked goodies and for those who don't have a sweet tooth, there is always Goan feni to rely on. Happy New Year!

New 2010 Mortgage Interest Rate Predictions, Outlook, and Trends

Many people have been applying for a mortgage refinancing due to the insanely low interest rates available now. However, I do not think that these low interest rates will last for much longer. Here are my mortgage rate predictions for 2010, how I made them, and how they affect homeowners.

Getting right into it, I predict that in 2010, mortgage rates will rise by around 1.75%. This means a standard 30 year fixed rate mortgage would have a fixed interest rate of around 6.75%. While this is still incredibly low, the interest rates available right now are even lower. The key to saving money when refinancing or getting a mortgage modification is reducing these interest rates.

Many people are aware that rates right now are near record lows, and are applying in record numbers for refinancing and mortgage modification. However, there are still many homeowners who are either waiting for rates to get even lower, or who are convinced that they will not benefit from refinancing or mortgage modification due to bad credit or other financial problems. However, according to my predictions, I think waiting to refinance will end up costing you more money, regardless of your finances.

Why do I think that predict mortgage interest rates will rise? Well that is because I believe that the housing market, and overall economy has seen its roughest days. I think that while it may be slow, many people will be in a better financial position in 2010. As things get better, interest rates will rise. The only reason they are so low right now is to spur activity, and help homeowners prevent losing their home to foreclosure or default.

While a 1.75% mortgage rate increase does not seem like a big deal, the truth is that it adds up to a lot of money over the course of a 30 year mortgage. This slight predicted rate increase will though make refinancing a mortgage not so beneficial for many people. However, even a 6.75% rate is very low. It is low enough that millions of people will still benefit from refinancing or mortgage modification.

While every situation is different, many people would benefit more from refinancing a mortgage now as opposed to waiting. Millions of homeowners will see a huge reduction in monthly home loan payments by taking advantage of the near all-time low interest rates. Consider refinancing a mortgage now before my predicted mortgage interest rate increases take place.

At my site I will teach you how to properly refinance or modify a home mortgage saving you thousands of dollars, or even your home. A lot of Greedy Mortgage Lenders will try to suck you dry if you let them. Learn the right way to refinance or modify your home loan at my site: http://www.refinancingcondo.com

2010 Largest Assisted Living Providers

While stormy economic conditions buffeted the business last year, indicators now point to smoother sailing ahead. As businesses in nearly every U.S. sector struggled to stay afloat last year, assisted living was the buoy in the choppy waters. Steady demand for quality services helped keep companies stable-even if accompanied by a hiatus from major mergers and acquisitions.

As businesses in nearly every U.S. sector struggled to stay afloat last year, assisted living was the buoy in the choppy waters. Steady demand for quality services helped keep companies stable-even if accompanied by a hiatus from major mergers and acquisitions.

Now, as economic forecasters allude to the end of the "Great Recession," companies like this year's Largest Providers are poised for growth, some of which is already underway. Forty-two of those companies (60%) that made the 2010 list report increases in licensed assisted living resident capacity-though much of that growth was in single-digit percentages. Another 16 of the top 70 companies maintained their size, while just 12 reported losses.

Here's a look at Assisted Living Executive's 2010 Largest Providers, and the business environment, transactions, and trends that landed each company a spot.

Top Players Hold Steady

In 2009, no assisted living providers merged nor acquired any other complete company. However, while most deals were small, the year did produce a few large portfolio acquisitions and considerable reshuffling. The biggest gains and losses were among the biggest players and occurred through simple sales and acquisitions.

For the first time since Assisted Living Executive began compiling this annual Largest Providers list, Sunrise Senior Living, based in McLean, Virginia, no longer sits at No. 1. The company, now No. 2, had no new building starts and sold off about 9 percent of its assisted living capacity (about 2,896 units) last year. Its biggest transaction was a portfolio of 21 communities in 11 states to Milwaukee, Wisconsin-based Brookdale Senior Living for $204 million, but Sunrise also sold smaller portfolios to regional providers, such as Baltimore-based Brightview Senior Living (The Shelter Group), which purchased two of Sunrise's New Jersey communities.

The Sunrise downsize has made Seattle-based Emeritus Senior Living the nation's largest assisted living provider. Emeritus acquired 2,221 new licensed assisted living units and grew by 7 percent in the past year, and it's very likely that Emeritus will not only maintain the top spot next year, but expand significantly in 2011. The company's partner, Blackstone Real Estate Advisors, is pursuing the purchase of 134 communities operated by Sunwest Management, which is in Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Under a preliminary agreement, Emeritus would manage the properties with the option to invest up to 10 percent of the equity in a joint venture with Blackstone and Columbia Pacific Management, an entity controlled by Dan Baty, Emeritus chairman and co-CEO.

Brookdale Senior Living maintained its No. 3 ranking, but also grew by 3,808 residents, or 15 percent, in 2009. Sunwest Management, last year's No. 4 company, comes in at No. 7 this year with 9,186 assisted living residents, a 43 percent drop. The company will disappear completely from the 2011 list if Blackstone or another entity receives court approval to buy the remainder of Sunwest's portfolio.

In terms of percentage growth, the clear winner is Solana Beach, California-based Senior Resource Group, another beneficiary of Sunwest's financial woes. The company picked up management contracts for 41 properties in 11 states, under the name LaVida Communities, when institutional investor Lone Star Funds of Dallas acquired the properties in the first big deal of 2009. Senior Resource Group catapults from No. 55 to No. 11, having grown its assisted living resident capacity more than 500 percent, to 4,897.

Big Movers

For the next Largest Providers percentage spike, look to CRL Senior Living Communities, which enters the list at No. 57, thanks to more than doubling its assisted living capacity from 502 to 1,019. Also on the growth path, Frontier Management expanded by 64 percent, from 828 to 1,358 licensed assisted living units, thanks to seven new management contracts and two new buildings. Frontier Management jumps 15 spots from No. 57 to No. 42. Watch this Western regional provider to grow further next year as several more new buildings open.

The fourth-largest list jumper is Carmichael, California-based Eskaton Senior Residences and Services, rising 12 spots to No. 56. The company reports 1,036 licensed assisted living units (up from 732 last year) due to either expansions or applications for additional assisted living licensing.

Only seven other providers report gains of 20 percent or more in the past year, and among them is Bradley, Illinois- based BMA Management. Because of its focus on the affordable market, the company continues to benefit from accessible financing sources not available to traditional providers. BMA Management's assisted living resident capacity jumped 27 percent in the past year as the company opened six new communities. In 2010, the company moves up the list by three spots, coming in at No. 21.

Other companies that increased their licensed assisted living capacity include Capital Senior Living Corporation (No. 20), which grew by 25 percent, and Bonaventure Senior Living (No. 23), whose assisted living capacity surged by 21 percent to 2,595. Assisted living capacity for Carlsbad, California-based Integral Senior Living (No. 24) rose 24 percent. Benedictine Health System (No. 41) grew by 20 percent, and Brightview Senior Living (No. 52, up from No. 62 last year) expanded by 29 percent, thanks to the Sunrise deal, which added 240 residents. Another chart-jumper was Leisure Living Management, which vaulted nine places from No. 58 in 2009 to No. 49 this year simply by adding 200 residents (22 percent).

The vast majority of expanding providers, however, had gains of less than 10 percent. But a little growth can go a long way when nearly 60 percent of companies on the Largest Providers list have fewer than 2,000 assisted living residents.

In another indication of assisted living growth, Independent Healthcare Properties, the smallest company on the list at No. 70, only kept its 2009 rank thanks to an 18 percent capacity gain from 706 to 833. Most of the 2009-ranked companies that did not make this year's list either maintained capacity or had very small gains. Another reason for higher numbers at the bottom of the list is attributed to data from five providers not previously listed-Spectrum Retirement Communities (No. 28), Mountain View Retirement (No. 50), CRL Senior Living Communities (No. 57), Welcome Home Management Company (No. 64), and Elder Care Alliance (No. 66).

Other than Sunwest, the company with the most dramatic drop in licensed assisted living capacity was Northstar Senior Living, which shed 1,068 residents, or 55 percent of its 2009 capacity, falling from No. 28 to No. 67. Again, because of modest overall numbers, decreases were most notable toward the bottom of the top 70 list. Grace Management saw a 30 percent decline from 1,399 to 979 and dropped from No. 37 in 2009 to No. 61 this year. Carillon Assisted Living, No. 49 in 2009, decreased its capacity by 24 percent from 1,024 to 775, removing it from the list altogether.

Several companies that didn't make this year's list but may show up in 2011 include Trinity Lifestyles Management, which nearly doubled in size to 480 assisted living residents after picking up three Atlanta-area EdenCare properties, formerly operated by Sunrise Senior Living. Wichita, Kansas-based Legend Senior Living has been raising its assisted living component steadily with new construction, expanding another 18 percent to 692 in 2010. And finally, AdCare Health Systems, based in Springfield, Ohio, remains a smaller provider at 231, but that reflects a 38 percent increase over the prior year, and the company recently announced raising $2.5 million to fund acquisitions.

More Stable Times Ahead

"The fact that we'll be able to point to this time period-the worst economic downturn in our lifetimes-and say that our industry weathered it pretty well and even continued to grow is significant," says Granger Cobb, president and co- CEO of Emeritus Senior Living.

The past two recessions hit assisted living hard, and many providers at the start of 2009 were concerned that the stalled housing market, depleted stock market earnings, and high unemployment among the adult children of potential residents could cause occupancy rates to plummet. Instead, after modest 2008 rate declines and a rent growth slowdown to 2 percent from 2.9 percent in 2008 and 4 percent in 2007, the needs-based component of assisted living seemed to trump economic concerns. Move-ins could be postponed but only for so long.

By second quarter 2009, signs of stabilization began to emerge, followed by a slow but upward trend, says Robert G. Kramer, president of the Annapolis, Maryland-based National Investment Center for the Seniors Housing & Care Industry (NIC). While national unemployment still hovered at a troubling 10 percent in January, Kramer says he's cautiously optimistic about the future, especially since the industry saw its largest absorption rate in the third quarter of 2009 since the first quarter of 2006- 1,400 assisted living units in the top 30 urban markets and slightly stronger in the top 100 markets.

Those statistics suggest that the overall picture is much rosier for assisted living than for other real estate sectors, including multifamily, hotels, and offices, Kramer notes. "Basically, we are seeing operators holding the line with regard to rates," he adds. "We certainly are seeing more concessions out there, but at the same time, those concessions tend to be very much market-specific, property-specific, or even unit-specific."

Still, move-in delays due to economic factors have amplified a trend already developing pre-recession-residents tend to be older and frailer, says Jim Moore, president of Moore Diversified Services and author of "Strategic Forecast," published in Assisted Living Executive's January/February 2010 issue. The result is heightened opportunity in dementia care, which is even more needs-based than assisted living, he adds. Indeed, a number of top 70 operators reported having converted independent units to assisted living or assisted living to memory care.

As for new construction, buildings already in the pipeline continued to open, but few companies launched new developments, and by January 2010, the number of new building starts had fallen to the lowest point since NIC started tracking senior housing trends. No companies went public in 2009.

Forecast for 2010

Access to capital will remain the primary challenge for development in 2010, although new properties financed before the recession will continue to open through the third quarter of 2010. But the lack of new properties isn't necessarily bad news for assisted living.

"We're going to go through a period of very little new product coming online, but if that coincides with pent-up demand and a recovery in the economy, all should bode well for occupancies and rent growth in assisted living," Kramer says. "Outside of external economic factors that we don't have any control over, the greatest risk to assisted living is overbuilding."

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will continue to be dependable sources of permanent 10-year financing, but when it comes to construction loans, developers have few options. Some very limited HUD 232 financing will be available, but more likely, the few projects that launch will do so because of relationships with local lenders.

Indeed, The Arbor Company, based in Atlanta, lacks the cash to develop properties on its own, but thanks to a partnership with Formation Capital, Arbor will manage two new properties scheduled to break ground this fall, says COO Judd Harper. "We feel much stronger and more optimistic about the assisted living occupancies in today's slowly recovering economy, but are optimistic about independent living's rebound in the future," he adds. "As people get jobs, they no longer are going to be able to care for a parent at home."

A bright spot in the acquisitions arena, private equity entities are beginning to eye assisted living as a desirable sector again, and the major REITs in senior housing are well-positioned to invest again, Kramer notes. Emeritus will be a company to watch thanks to the Blackstone deal, and while it only plans one new building in 2010, the company actively will be looking for other acquisition opportunities at attractive prices.

"If a company has liquidity, cash flow, and a reasonably healthy balance sheet, it will be in a great position because there are opportunities right now," Cobb says. That advantage isn't just for big companies like Emeritus, but also for regional and even small mom-and-pop players with targeted expansion plans, he adds, noting that "interest rates have not changed that much over the last couple of years, but the amount of equity and coverage ratios you have to have in place has become more stringent, as well as the underwriting."

Fanwood, New Jersey-based Chelsea Senior Living leveraged a strong relationship with a local lender to purchase a former Sunwest property in New Jersey last fall and is actively looking for more deals, says Roger Bernier, president and COO. "Some people are likely to see their debt maturing and be unable to refinance," he forecasts. "Ultimately we'd like to grow by two communities per year, but it has to be the right deal for us to take a look."

Much of the acquisitions action in 2010 is likely to remain with distressed properties, however, and no one expects lots of high-end properties to come on the market this year, says Steve Monroe of Senior Care Investor. "High-performing properties are only going to sell if owners can get a good price, although that may start to change later in 2010."

Still, wise operators should not be blinded by attractive price tags so much that they forget to consider how well the acquisition fits into their existing portfolio and evolving demands of seniors and their families, Moore cautions. "Senior psychographics are changing," he adds. "It's not so much the World War II homemaker widow as 80-year-olds who have been in the professional workforce."

Another area of opportunity in 2010 may be new management contracts for owners and lenders who may be unhappy with their current management, Moore suggests. And for many companies, the wisest move in 2010 may be just to sharpen internal operations, he says.

Although Greensboro, North Carolina- based Bell Senior Living is open to the right deal within the mid-Atlantic states in which it already operates, the latter strategy will be the company's prime priority this year, says President Steve Morton. "I'd say it's a time to focus on operations, improve operating results including management and revenue streams, and put together the necessary tools to maximize and run communities in the most effective manner possible," he says. "This is something we can do because we don't have five acquisitions or development deals."

Finally, unstable financial markets still make it unlikely that any company will go public in 2010, but if conditions improve, Moore says, the two companies to watch continue to be Atria Senior Living Group (No. 4) and HCR ManorCare (No. 10).

2010 is the Year to Decide

I want to start by saying that in order to get what you want, you have to know what it is that you want. Now that sounds simple and easy to understand, but more often than not when asked to describe what it is that you want many of us are not able to explain exactly what that is. One of the primary reasons people have this dilemma is, they can't see how it's possible for them to get what they want. Studies now prove that before the brain can figure out the how it must first know the what. And once you commit to your desires the universe can assist by bringing what's necessary to you, so that you can accomplish your goals.

I will cover a few key points for you to consider in positioning yourself to receive the maximum benefits. First, when you dream, dream large, that's right the large dreams not only compel others to help you with your dreams, they also inspire you to stay focused. Your subconscious creative mind will start to come up with ideas to help you achieve your dreams. And believe it or not you will begin to attract resources, people, and opportunities into your life to help as well. Another reason to increase the size of your dreams is because of the growth that you receive by accomplishing them.

* Always remember that you also need to figure ways to be of service to others, by incorporating this technique to your mind, and your being, you will notice your goals and dreams coming to you at a rapid pace. Because people need and desire to be a part of something that makes a difference.

* After you have decided exactly what it is that you want, you will need to implement a system of checks and balances. This will allow you to measure the amount of time necessary, and require a end date, without inserting these types of measures, the results will not be achieved in a timely manner. An example would be, I want to run 3 miles in less than 18 minutes, by the spring so that I can qualify for the track team on March the 21st. Understanding just how effective these techniques are will make your goal setting experience much more enjoyable.

* Here are some of the areas that you can start to make your goals, remember to try and make at least 2 for each area and always add an ending date. Career, Financial, Health, Relationship, and Personal Growth. Remember it is a MUST that you know exactly what it is you WANT.

3 Steps to Increase Production Through Hygiene in 2010

Has your hygiene department production flat-lined? Are you under-utilizing your hygienists' skills for observation and assessment and their ability to connect with your patients. Now is the time to change all that. You'll be blown away to see how some simple changes can create more than $100K in additional production next year.

Here's the bottom line: If you could increase hygiene production by $150/day or just $19/hour, 2 hygienists can increase their annual production total by almost $60,000!

If those same 2 hygienists each enrolled at least $1000/week in restorative treatment, that boosts your production by $96,000. Together, that's over $150,000 in increased production for your practice. I'm not going to leave you hanging. I'll tell you how to get there and it's really not that hard.

Step 1- Pump Up Perio! I preach this every other month and I won't be quitting anytime soon. The fact is that if two hygienists enroll just 10% of their current patients into active perio therapy and then perio maintenance, hygiene production will increase by $60-70K in the first year. You better believe their are more than 10% of your "prophy" patients that have perio disease right now.

Step 2- Empower your hygienists to help you enroll restorative. Remember: The first step is to spend time educating your team on your treatment philosophy and get all Docs in your office on the same page, too. Enrolling $1000/wk out of each hygiene operatory is very conservative. The trick is, those patients have to actually schedule that treatment for those dollars to show up.

Step 3-Financial Arrangements and Follow-up! Every patient that is presented with either perio treatment or restorative treatment should never leave your office without a written and signed financial arrangement. If you don't have a financial arrangement form, create one. Make this Priority #1 for the new year. Patients that are confident say YES. Patients that are confused say NO. Make it clear how you make it easy for them to pay. Make it clear what portion of the fee they are responsible for and when it's due. Then follow-up! If the patient isn't ready to schedule that day, then put them on your follow-up list and ask for their permission to call in 2- 3 wks, and then DO IT!

Bonus Step 4- Share this with your team! Talk with your hygienists about what you'd like to see happen in 2007 and then support them in accomplishing it. Give them the support they need to develop and implement a perio protocol and make technology accessible so they can use it for perio charting, taking intra-oral photos, etc. AND, share the increase. How can you share the growth with your team next year? Implement a plan for a Team Bonus, Profit Sharing or Team Trips. These are just a few of the ways you can acknowledge your team for their dedication to you and your patients.

Grand National 2010 Weights Declared

On Saturday, April 10 2010, the John Smith's Grand National will take place with a record prize fund of £925,000 so competition for a place among the forty starters is fierce as it is the only race in which the British Horse racing Authority's Head of Handicapping, Phil Smith, can use his discretion to determine the weight each horse will carry.

The weights were announced on Tuesday 16 February, in London at the Official Launch of the 2010 John Smith's Grand National attended by connections of many of the leading contenders and such is the quality of this year's entry that only 14 of the 111 remaining entries are not currently in the handicap.

Since then there has been much discussion about the various horses and which of them will ultimately make it to the final day without being scratched off the list over the next few weeks.

The highest weight attributed to any one horse was 11st 10lbs and, as it turned out, three horses were allotted this and they are Albertas Run, Madison Du Berlais and Notre Pere. Interestingly, this was the highest weight in the 2009 Grand National also when it was given to Cloudy Lane who unseated his rider, Jason Maguire, at fence fifteen.

The lowest weight, 8st 12lbs, went to Offaly, an Irish nine year old trained by Pru Townsley. A weight this low and one that puts the horse at 111 on the list of possible runners essentially puts him out of contention. In fact, only horses that made it in to the top 75 of weights are most likely to make it in to the race after the scratchings take place over the next few weeks.

Last year Cerium was number 75 on the list and made it through and coincidentally he is number 75 on the list again so his trainer, Paul Murphy, is hoping that history will repeat itself this year as well as Cerium came in a respectable fifth place in 2009 and Murphy believes that he is in even better shape this year.

Ante-post favourite Tricky Trickster has been given 11st 4lbs following a successful run in the AON Chase at Newbury. The Paul Nicholls trained horse will run off the same weight as the Newbury runner-up Niche Market, winner of last season's Irish Grand National. On paper Tricky trickster looks to be the better of the two horses with more consistent form under his belt but Niche Market is a couple of years older and with that comes experience and stamina that ultimately counts for far more at the Grand National.

Last year's winner, Mon Mome who carried 11st back in 2009, has been allotted an additional 7lbs for this year and is the highest weighted of the three former winners who are still in contention. Comply Or Die, who won the 2008 John Smith's Grand National off 10st 9lb, has been allotted 11st 5lb this year, 1lb less than he carried when finishing second to Mon Mome last season. Silver Birch, who carried 10st 6lb to victory in 2007, has been given 10st 5lb this year.

There are 111 horses still in the running for a place on April 10, of which 38 are Irish trained. The deadline for the first scratchings is March 2 with second scratchings deadline being March 23 2010.

Six Things to Consider While Buying Corporate Gifts During Xmas

Christmas is that time of the year when we turn our thoughts towards choosing the right Xmas promotional gifts. For many, this task could be a tiresome activity, but many enjoy this gift selection task. It is been said that 'the more thought that goes into choosing your gift, the more the recipient will appreciate it'. When it comes to choosing a professional gift during Christmas, a variety of factors can come into play. These factors include how well you know your recipient, what your budget is and what exactly you want from the relationship. As far as winning or maintaining a big contract is concerned, it really pays to be innovative at Christmas, and it doesn't have to cost a fortune.

Let us talk about a few tips for getting the gift selection task right without spending a lot of money.

1- Budget- Deciding on your corporate budget is important. This way you can get to know where to begin.

2- Make groups- You should divide your customers into groups by making different categories such as those with the highest spend, those with potential to spend more and those who have remained loyal for many years. With the help of groups, you can easily figure out how many items you need to source in each and every group.

3-Know your recipient- You cannot present a remarkable gift to your recipient until and unless you don't know him/her, their likes, dislikes etc. This is the reason why it is advised to take your time and think about the individual and then make sure of what to present. This way you will be able to avoid selecting anything that will make them dissatisfied.

4- Decide what you want to achieve- You must decide well in advance, what exactly you want to achieve from giving a gift. Do you simply want a smile on the face of your recipient after he/she sees your gift, or you want a long lasting gift that will remind them of you and your business or do you just want a personal thank you gift? Only after deciding the purpose of your gift giving, you will be able to present your recipients with the right gift.

5- Be inventive- You need to be inventive with your choice. There is a numerous range of business gifts available in the market that you can present to your business associates this Christmas or New Year. You can always ask your gift supplier for the details of latest Christmas gifts.

6-The impact of personalisation- Personalisation is a vital thing. Whatever gift you will choose, it will definitely increase its sentimental value, if the gift is personalised properly.

Choosing the right gift is necessary; if the gift selection you made goes wrong, it can create a problem for your business in the coming year.

Top 5 Tips for Finding a New Year's Eve Babysitter

Ready to trade those sippy cups for some champagne? Here are our top 5 tips for finding a holiday babysitter in no time!

1. Call now.

A babysitter will probably get many calls for New Year's Eve. Call early in order to mark his or her calendar now.

2. Pay really well.

This is not a time to be cheap. Whatever everyone else is paying babysitters, offer a little more. This will make it worth your sitter's time to clear their schedule and maybe even keep it open for you next time you need a babysitter...or for next New Year's bash.

3. Consider friends with small kids.

If you have friends who also have small children and would rather make some money than go out, just ask them. It may actually make their life easier to have other kids to keep their kids busy and give them some extra money to pay off those extra holiday bills.

4. Let the sitter stay the entire night.

Instead of asking the sitter to stay up until you return at 4 am, offer to pay them to stay over and go home in the morning whenever they are ready. Many sitters prefer not to stay up all night and this gives them that flexibility.

5. Shop the internet...for a local sitter.

Don't forget that you can also use the internet to find a babysitter near you. Online sites, like Sittercity, have great local babysitters and you can search for free before you ever have to sign up.

U2 - New Year's Day Live at Slane Castle 2001 Lyrics

This was a wish song video for 2010! First of all, for you to know, I have connected the end of the song "until the end of the world" , with New Year's Day after...and if you could watch just before this start, the passion of Bono and The Edge is bigger :-)..just try to search for until the end of the world here, you'll find it :-) The reason that I put the lyrics in the middle of the screen is one... first the piano as a guest star goes directly to our hearts, second the guitar's gallop, thrid the dance of the bass, forth the jumping knocking of the drums and fifth the voice of Bono that connects the melodies and brings them to us with passion! So I left a wish to some people I know here (I was in a hurry, after midnight, last night of 2009,so if you noticed here before, I made a mistake and wrote Happy New Near instead of Year , but I wasnt near a pc until this Monday to fix it!) My wish was Love showed with passion for the New Year through this fantastic live of U2 at Slane Castle, with title U2 go home , the best Live that Ive ever seen in my life, unfortunately on screen only and I am jealous that I wasnt there to scream and jump together with all this crowd :-) So when Bono sings, I want to pay attention to what he is trying to tell us, especially with this song, that the last lyrics referring to war are missing, so his purpose is the word he screams before he starts to sing , which is Love and through the rest of the lyrics he tells us, never surrender , never give up ...

The New You, in the New Year - Will I Ever Lose the Belly Fat, Attract the Right Man Or Wealth?

I'm sure you have been hearing about losing weight, and sticking to your New Year's resolutions but let me ask you, where are you right now?

Are you still feeling stuck and not sure what to do. On one hand you have the desire, and the other you have your mind pulling you in another direction that is away from your goals.

Imagine having all the tools that you needed to achieve not only the body you wanted like a flat stomach, lean legs, and firm glutes but imagine having an incredible relationship, money, and a sense of feeling good about yourself.

Why is it that so many women do not have the body of their dreams and are not living their life with passion and purpose?

It's because you have spent too much time looking for the next quick fix diet or temporary solution to a lifetime of decisions.

You need to look within yourself to get what you want on the outside. No diet, no get rich quick scheme will do that for you. It is when you work on your inner core, your authentic self that you discover the true potential within yourself. You may have Googled your way into a short term frenzy but the truth be known that the ultimate resources can be found within you.

You simply need to find the right combination to your mind that unlocks your true potential and giving you exactly what you want.

You can achieve anything you want whether it be six pack abs or wealth.

The formula is to know that you are capable and to instill a belief system within yourself that is so great, it's effortless for you to take the necessary action.

There is no such thing as hard work, it is simply putting time and effort into things that you value to get a desired outcome. If you are telling yourself it's hard, then you are not being truthful to yourself.

Ask yourself this question. What makes me different than the woman that is the same age as me that accomplished the body of her dreams, is in a fulfilled relationship, and is living an abundant life?

The answer is she chose to see the outcome that she wanted, instilled a belief system and took action. If you are unsure whether this year you will ever accomplish your goals or maybe it will happen next year then I can tell you, that you will remain where you are at.

Here's what you need to do:

First, get clear on what you want.

Second, find the right mentor, book, or support system.

Third, take action towards your goals every single day.

Wasabi Peas Have a 1000 Year Shelf-Life

Desiring a quick snack after work the other day, I grabbed a bag of Wasabi Peas and popped a handful into my mouth anticipating the little blast of Wah that comes with them. As I reached for the second handful, I happened to notice the expiration date on the bag. It read, “Best by, 093006.” My mind immediately interpreted those numbers to mean, the month September in the year 3006! And I thought, really I did, “Wow, that’s a shelf life of over 1000 years!”

It only took about 3-seconds for me to recognize the impossibility of that perception. But for those three seconds, my reality reflected the belief that wasabi peas – or at least this bag of them – could last for 1000 years. By about the 5th second I had, accurately this time I think, reinterpreted the numbers to mean September 30th, 2006.

It was a simple mistake, a trick of perception, you might say. And the expiration date of wasabi peas is obviously not a big deal. But what is important is that it got me to pay attention to the ways in which my mind interprets, and often misinterprets the world around me.
I began to wonder how often my perceptions are faulty, and how often those perceptions remain unquestioned?

Here’s another example. I was recently referred to a prospective client whom I called to chat with and set up an initial coaching session. She answered the phone and I introduced myself and told her why I was calling. When she replied, I could immediately tell that something was wrong. My mind, helpful as ever, and without any corroborating evidence, immediately concluded that she did not want to work with me as a coach, and that, in fact, she was downright distraught that I had even called her.

Fortunately, I’ve learned not to trust these assumptions of my mind, and so I jumped right in and asked her if anything was wrong. She told me that a good friend had passed away two days earlier.
I could feel my mind slinking away into the corner like a cartoon character trying to avoid being noticed after doing something really stupid.

Our minds are masters of assumption. More often than not, those assumptions are wrong. And far too often, we accept them without question. It would not have made much difference in my life if I had accepted that wasabi peas have a 1000-year shelf life. But it certainly would have affected me if I had chosen not to question my mind’s assumption about that potential client. If left unquestioned, that perception would have fed directly into my sense of self-worth, ultimately contributing to an internal devaluation.

One faulty perception will not cause great harm, but when multiple, erroneous perceptions are left unquestioned, the effect on your life can be dramatic.

Can you think of times in your life when your mind has misinterpreted a situation? Perhaps someone said something that, without clarification, could have been taken in any number of ways. Perhaps your manager made a comment that caused you to think she was disappointed in your work.

What I want you to do, for the next few days, is to question as many perceptions as possible. From the obvious to the hidden, observe and reevaluate the assumptions of your mind that too often are taken for granted.

When you see a car and perceive it as such, question it. “Is that really a car?” When you catch someone giving you a “look” and find yourself wondering, “what did I do wrong?” question the way you have perceived that look.

Some of your perceptions will true – that car probably will end up being a car – others you will recognize as obviously false, and some will require additional input, perhaps from another person. The point is not whether the perceptions are true or false. The point is to begin questioning the often-unquestioned assumptions of your mind.

Your mind can be a wonderful servant, but a pretty poor master. By questioning its perceptions and assumptions you immediately begin to shift the balance of power away from your mind and back towards your essential nature.

2010 is the Year of the Entrepreneur - Are You Ready?

Entrepreneur Magazine says 2010 will be the year of the entrepreneur because unlike a large company we are fluid and flexible and can respond quickly. We're also small and light on our feet since we use Cloud Nine technology to outsource even some of our core systems. And that frees us up to stay fluid, to monitor and respond to the changing moods and needs of our target audience. Between home offices and virtual assistants and tech people from all parts of the world, we can even start up with very little money. The trend now is for friends and family to bankroll a start up. Anything is possible. Your dream can become a reality even now. Especially now.

I hadn't thought of myself in that light before - fluid and flexible, and if I get too bogged down in where I think I should be going I may not be able to see where I could be going.

Are You Light On Your Feet?

I don't play football but I can picture us as holding tightly to the ball and dogging and darting this way and that to make our way toward our goal. We're not on the line - doggedly moving forward because we are big and bulky (no offense meant), instead we are light on our feet, responding quickly to whatever appears before us.

How fluid are you? How often do you thoughtfully examine the changes in your target community? Do you look for their new concerns? Do you think about what keeps them up at night? And do you keep adding skills and look at your talents and passion to see if you can add something to your business that will meet those needs?

Can You Rise to Any Occasion?

Are your business systems fluid? Do you have a VA and an accountant in place ready to move quickly if you need them to do more for you? Have you located a virtual team to meet the needs of new clients as well as your own? Are your own systems set up so that you can quickly add more clients or effectively promote a new telecourse or product? How have you freed yourself up so you can stay creatively tuned into the people you serve?

Is your measuring system in place so you can spot what's working and what isn't and quickly do more of what is working? Do you reevaluate your business every quarter and redirect its course if necessary?

Can You Easily Change Directions?

How flexible are you? One thing I did especially well recently is plan my direction and services for the coming year. I did a lot of thinking and analyzing and I figured out what my community will want from me and I set up some new offerings. I increased the number of courses in my Magnetic Marketing Method Mastery Program. Then I designed a schedule and blocked off time to make it happen. I even know what new information products I will produce. I'm excited about my plan and I'm a bit like a train going rapidly down the track in one direction. So what if something comes along that seems like a better idea? Will I be flexible? Will I fluidly change gears and directions to absorb or accommodate the new idea? I like to think so.

If you keep your attention on the needs of your community you will know when you need to change. When you hear them call you can answer. And if you have your systems in place you will have the time and resources to make it happen.

Are You Carrying the Ball?

If you get too caught up in the details of your business, you can't do your job - the job that says you are the idea person, the one watching the ebb and flow, the one who creates the new programs and services. As the core of your business, you have to be its heartbeat, you have to tune into its rhythm and keep all its working parts going in the same direction.

Are you set up to change directions easily? Do you have the systems in place you need to grow rapidly? More importantly do you have the mind set to respond quickly and even move toward a new goal? Think of yourself as agile, quick, decisive, fluid and flexible. Then you'll be ready to keep up with the changing needs of your community and keep your business in tune with the times. Let's make 2010 rock!

New Years Resolution - New Job

With the new year almost upon us, it is a time when many people reflect on their lives and make what has been coined as, "New Years Resolutions." These resolutions range from losing weight to quitting smoking, and lets be honest they are hardly ever met. The great thing about this tradition is that you take time and look at your life and pin point things that make you unhappy and that you want to change. For many people one thing that makes them very unhappy is their job. Unless you are in the military your job typically one area that you can change and should really consider doing if it is the cause of your unhappiness.

Finding a new job can seem like a daunting task, but if you break it down and focus on it, it is really not too difficult. You'll need to first figure out if you like your career path, and if not you might need to retool or reeducate yourself. You will need to find available jobs in your job field that you qualify for, and you will need to write a resume that is laser targeted to that job. Finally you will have to interview for that job, and get hired!

You need to know whether you are dissatisfied with your current job or your career path in general. What I mean is that you have to take a look at what you don't like about your job and realistically compare it to other jobs in your career field. If you have to put up with the same issues that you do not like about your current job, then maybe the career field you have gone into is not right for you. Also you should write down the things you do like about your job so you can use them to find the perfect job opportunity or career that you will be the most happy with. Once you've analyzed if your job or whole career path needs changing then you are going to want to look at reeducating yourself into something new that meets all of the items that you enjoy doing at your current job.

To find available job positions this day and age is pretty simple. You can just go on the Internet and search through many of the job search engines for companies that are looking to fill a vacancy. The only problem with this is that typically the easier the job position is to find, the larger the amount of competition there is for that job. Never really on only one source to find jobs, exhaust all available resources at your disposal. The most powerful way to find jobs with low competition to this day is word of mouth. This means you will want to pick up the phone and call all your old bosses, friends, co-workers, etc and see if they know about a job position that you qualify for and would enjoy. Once you have found the perfect job you will want to tweak your resume to really target that job listing and make it stand out from any one else who is possibly applying.

Last thing to do is to be confident in yourself and nail the interview. Show up on time, be dressed properly, and review popular interview questions before hand. If you do these things you should have no problems at all giving a great interview. Make sure your next year is happier than you last by dropping the job you hate for the one you'll love.

Make 2010 Your Best Year Ever

There is something refreshing about wiping the slate clean and starting a new year. And January is that time of year where any goals set are grand and maybe a little over the top.

And it is these grandiose plans that often see us fail to achieve our goals, as they are just too big a step in one go. But it is possible to achieve big goals, if you approach it the right way.

There are five elements required to successfully change any habit and accomplish any goal, regardless how big it may be:

1. Vision

Regardless of what you goal is, you need to have a vision. A vision is a big picture insight into your perfect life, and is ideally what you are striving towards. Sit back and reflect on what you think your perfect life would be like, and write down a few sentences to describe it. This is your vision and your goal setting and new year resolutions need to reflect it.

2. Attitude

You've probably heard a lot about the role of a positive attitude in success and achievement. And it's true - some people have even cured themselves from life threatening diseases against all odds with the power of a positive attitude.

So when working towards your vision, it is important to keep a positive attitude. Focus on the positives and the joy you'll experience when you've achieved your vision, rather than focusing on failures or making excuses for not moving forwards.

Affirmations play a role here. Affirmations are basically a series of positive, reinforcing statements that you repeatedly say to yourself to program your mindset to help you achieve your goals. Affirmations usually are a statement like "I am a successful businessman", rather than "I will become a successful businessman", the theory being that if you repeat the first affirmation enough that your mind thinks you are a successful businessman, then the attitudes and behaviors that go with that success will follow.

Follow the link at the bottom of the find where you'll find lots of free resources, including a free affirmation e-course, if you want to learn more.

3. Time

You need to set aside enough time everyday to work on your goals, and you also need to allow enough timeframe to be able to accomplish them. You can't lose 20kg in 1 week, but if you set aside 30 minutes everyday to exercise as well as eating a healthy diet, you will in time lose your 20kg.

Initially it may seem like a chore, taking time out everyday to work on your goals. But if you don't, how can you possibly achieve them? And the good news is that as you start to make progress towards your end result, you will feel more enthused to continue and taking time to work on your goals won't seem like such a burden.

The hardest thing is taking that first step and gaining the initial momentum. Once you're on a roll, just run with it.

4. Resources

As well as time, you will need resources and tools to achieve your goals. These resources could be in the form of information, a support group, something physical like an exercise bike or money. Whatever the resource or tool required, you need to identify them and how to get them.

Of course, the most important tool you need to develop is an action plan of how you are going to accomplish your goals. What steps do you need to take to get there, and what is your first or next step?

5. Maintenance

The hardest part of achieving any goal is sticking to the plan and remaining committed. It can take time to achieve your goals, and it is easy to get distracted and un-motivated. Maintain your vision and your resolve to progress towards your vision. And probably the best way to do this is to review the above steps regularly to re-motivate yourself and keep you on track.

What is your vision for this year? Whatever it is, be kind to yourself, and make sure that you've considered the above five components of a successful resolution.

Why 2010 Calendars Are a Good Advertising Choice

What does 2010 hold for advertisers? It is a difficult question to answer, especially as the advertising market is changing so much, especially now. With a large migration from traditional TV and radio advertising to internet advertising, it sometimes seems that other forms of advertising fall by the wayside. Developing and designing 2010 calendars, for example, might seem somewhat less forward thinking than other advertising mediums, so this article will look at any advantages that might be gained from it.

Calendars are notable for their static nature - something that many other forms of advertising do not possess. TV adverts, radio adverts - they are all constantly changing, like shifting sands. It could be argued that in 2010, calendars will be one of the most visible ways to advertise. The advantage, some say, of the calendar, is that it can potentially have a year-round presence - something that few, if any, advertising mediums can offer.

The truth is that while people do indeed love their TVs, films, internet and other forms of entertainment - they still also like the glossy look and feel of printed matter. And this is why, in 2010, calendars will still offer a way to grab people's attention over by presenting their favourite images in full colour.

Getting a calendar into someone's office for an entire year - as an object that the recipient actually likes and uses regularly - is an impressive achievement. In some cases that person may even have paid for the calendar, reducing advertising costs. But in most cases, as in previous years, 2010 calendars will be given out free - and everyone loves freebies, especially in a recession. Many people make purchasing decisions after a lengthy period of deliberation, and one way to make someone aware of a new service is by having a given brand constantly in the conscious and subconscious of that potential customer.

But in 2010, calendars will be popular, as they have been for so long, because they fulfil a function as well as being an aesthetically pleasing image on the wall or desk. Knowing the date, or evening being aware of when the month changes, is very important for a lot of people. Writing cheques, dating letters - and perhaps more importantly, making notes about appointments are all prime functions of 2010 calendars - and one that no other device of such simplicity can rival. In terms of advertising longevity, few other advertising mediums can compete. The only drawback is the initial cost, but when compared to the advertising potential of it and how well the calendars' distribution can be targeted, it's a sensible investment and one that offers exceptional return.
